About us

Welcome to Society of Neurosonology

The Society of Neurosonology (SON) was founded with a vision to advance the field of neurosonology in India and beyond. What began as a small initiative by five pioneering neurologists during the IANCON 2012 conference has now grown into a thriving community of over 200 members, dedicated to research, education, and clinical excellence in neurovascular ultrasound.

Under the leadership of Prof. Vijay K. Sharma and other distinguished members, SON has played a pivotal role in spreading awareness, organizing workshops, and training young neurologists in Transcranial Doppler (TCD), carotid ultrasound, and neuromuscular ultrasound.
